We think this is an excellent first Bontempi GT530 midi key electronic keyboard because it's light and therefore easy to carry around. The organ is easy to play too, because the instructions on the keyboard are easy to follow for adults as well as most children around the age of 5. It was actually designed for children in mind by Bontempi who for many years have been world renowned for their organs and keyboards. Interestingly, we have had singers buy this from us to help get their starting notes when singing, because it is light and easily portable.

This 32 key digital keyboard has 4 metronomes, sequencer, 24 different sounds, 8 note polyphony, 18 rhythms with easy play arranger and even includes 18 prerecorded songs, master volume, start/stop, down beat, tempo =/-, 6 accompaniment sounds, 6 multi-function pads, 100 groups of prerecorded chords and switch-off acoustic signal. This is also a great keyboard for children interested in DJ effects because it contains all you need to have some Yoh! Scratchhhh fun - 6 special DJ effects!. With drum pad and accompaniment sounds to add to your sequencer so you can record and listen to what you have played, it is truly an excellent choice as a starter keyboard for all young children. The 24 different sounds range from piano to violin, oboe and harmonica, and the 18 different styles are from pop and ballad to rap and salsa - the prerecorded songs can also be played manually using a booklet that uses numbers for reading the notes (Bontempi's System 5 music method).

All the functions are easy to use and there is even a power save function.
