This attractive Bontempi kids play toy microphone was a real hit with everyone here at Amusica. It's not just a microphone as it has this amazing ability to make loud clapping sounds and produce flashing lights when you press one of the buttons on the base of the stand. So, this is how it goes, you introduce yourself and you can get an applause, you sing and you get another applause - you tell a joke and you get another fun musical noise which sounds like cymbals and drums - if you hear it you're sure to recognise the routine. This play microphone most definately encourages children to speak and even sing which is why we put it on our website. Although we sell children's musical instruments we also think that the 'voice' is just as important in music. Practicing speaking and singing aloud really helps children in all sorts of ways, such as having the confidence to speak in front of the class!

The play microphone also has ten pre-recorded tunes to which children can sing along.

The play microphone's base therefore has three buttons, one that plays the pre-recorded songs, another for volume control and one that plays cymbals and drums. The loudspeaker is also in the base. As well as an extendable long stand, it also comes with a short stand so that children can place it on a table. The angle of the microphone can also be moved up or down.
