This children's songbook "Singing Phonics" contains easy-to-learn songs, photocopiable illustrations and letter cards. It address environmental and instrumental sounds, as well as body percussion, rhythm and rhyme, alliteration, and even has several sections focused on the voice - and for all of it, no music reading is required. Not only can it be used by parents, but also by specialist and generalist practitioners, as it supports the teaching of phase 1 of Letters and Sounds.

The book also contains a delightful singalong CD, where each song in the book can be found. The tunes are clear and easy to understand, making use of both conventional instruments and ordinary objects such as a squeaky door to create music; These songs based on traditional tales like 'Hickory Dickory Dock' with focus on new sounds to introduce to the child, like with all the songs. The songs on the CD also adopt new and innovative stances, such as 'Three Little Pigs' in rap, introducing the young child to all sorts of different styles of music.
