We think these Bontempi half size electric guitars are top quality! After testing quite a few electric guitars in the price range we wanted, we finally found this half size guitar that was quite a bit more than just a 'toy guitar'. If you know how to play a guitar and the strings are not tunable, well - it's not really a guitar is it? This electric guitar's strings are actually tunable (which take it from us is hard to find) and that was the main reason we chose it - not to mention the price. Its manufacturers are also known worldwide for producing quality children's instruments . As well as tunable strings, it comes with an amplifier which also has a socket for plugging in a microphone. It also comes with a shoulder strap. The microphone comes with an adjustable stand so children can sing either standing up or sitting down.

A booklet comes with the half size electric guitar showing how to play quite a few chords, such as A, Am, E, Em, D, Dm, G and C which is really useful for starters.

Power supply 4 x 1,5v R14/C batteries which are not included.

Dimensions of half size electric guitar: full length approx 700 mm.
Strap: 750 mm.
Microphone stand: max height 800 mm

Ages: 3 yrs+

More about Electric Guitars
Electric guitars generally have a solid or a semi-hollow or a hollow body. They only produce a little sound without any amplification, which is where the 'electric' comes in. The Electromagnetic pickups convert the vibrations from the steel strings into electrical signals which are then fed into the amplifier through a cable or sometimes a radio transmitter. You can find 2 main types of pickup, one is a single coil and the other a double - they are also called humbuckers and each of them can be passive or active. You can use electric guitars in jazz music, blues and rock and roll.
