The main reason we chose this high quality electronic musical pink piano organ was because not only can young children play notes like on a real piano, and practice using their singing and speaking voice using the microphone, this pink Bontempi iGirl children's piano organ also has lots of really good features. Children are sure to have hours of fun playing this electronic musical instrument and learn the basics of what a piano keyboard does even without adult supervision.
The keyboard comes with a colour coded booklet which shows children how to play 11 songs and we think this is really great, because it's just so easy to achieve and a great way to introduce music notation. The songs are well known ones and sure to make any child feel really good about themselves.
You can select whether you want to change the sound of the keys to either a piano, trumpet, xylophone, guitar, organ, flute or violin by pressing a button and then selecting the instrument by colour on the keys. You can also select for the organ to play Happy Birthday, Brother John, Oh Suzanna, Jingle Bells, When the Saints Go Marching In, Silent Night or Twinkle Little Star and don't forget - using the microphone children can do a sing along too! Also, children can make a selection from different rhythms - Waltz, Samba, March, 8 Beat, Rock, Disco and Blues and play along to them with the keyboard's flashing light show.
But what is really special about this keyboard is that there are 7 musical games to play which all teach children, something useful. We particularly like the game ' Find the Note'. It teaches children in a fun way the musical letters that match the keys. Another game is that it asks children to play particular notes (by their colour) and at the end it plays it all back to them, making really nice tunes. There are even more simple games and they are all progressive, building up to the harder games. Of course, children don't need to learn if they don't want, they can just have a good old jamming session and be really creative. Oh, and of course, another of the best features is that children can record what they play back to themselves - now isn't that really cool?
It comes with a little pink stool ideal for children from 3 years upwards. When they grow bigger, the keyboard can easily be placed on a table.
