The activity playmat is easy to play because babies can stand on the playmat or use their hands to make the musical notes. Also they can use their knees, heads or even elbows on the activity playmats. We give this playmat the thumbs up because babies can actually instigate individual musical notes which means every baby can be creative with music and it will help babies to discover different musical sounds.
The characterful and colourful cover of this Winnie the Pooh baby musical playmat has a wipe clean surface made from vinyl which means it's also very easy to clean - and that's great for babies too!
There are two volume settings on these playmats and an on and off button on the handle. You can select a sound by pressing the picture of one of the instruments on the playmat - the musical sounds are: guitar, recorder xylophone and trumpet. You can select to either just activate the keyboard or the songs from the handle of the playmat. The prerecorded songs are: Winnie the Pooh songs, Happy Birthday, Old Macdonald and a few other popular tunes.
The mat has 7 notes for babies and toddlers to play 'C', 'D', 'E', 'F', 'G', 'A' and 'B'. The box also contains a Disney music sheet and shows you how to play 'Twinkle Twinke Little Star, London Bridge and Frere Jacques using a colour coded system - isn't it just a great way to get very young children on the right footing! (sorry about the pun). By the way, adults can play too!
