Suggested instruments for this book: triangle, maracas, drum with mallet and a tambourine, triangle, shakers, double tone block and a finger cymbal. Give your toddlers the best! Beautiful instruments that are in tune and have a good tone quality are the first instruments that every toddler should hear.
A Note about Singing
Did you know that children's voices are a little higer pitched than an adult's? Try to sing a little higher than you normally do to encourage your child to feel confident about copying and reaching your notes. There are several activities in this book to encourage children to start singing and it's important that they hear your voice too. Don't worry, if you think your voice is not that good reaching those high and low notes, the book has taken this into account. As it happens, children's voices don't normally have a wide range ie they usually don't sing very high or very low notes so all the notes in the songs in this book are purposely close together - you'll never get found out! Just listen to the CD ...........
