The Singing Storycloth is a wonderful classroom children's music book resource containing activities suitable for children aged 3-7 years, especially designed to support the theme of Knowledge and Understanding of the World found in the Foundation Stage national curriculum. Each story is carefully entwined with musical activities, ranging from showing children how to understand rhythm all the way to composing their own songs! To top it off, not only does this book contain fun music activities, but there are games, puppet making ideas and plays. In the back of the book there is also a handy assortment of photocopyable templates which can then be cut out and easily assembled.
This book comes with two CDs containing all eight song-stories from around the world.. Backing tracks are also included to accompany classroom singing and performance. The activities are flexible and can be enjoyed in the classroom when creative work is required for music, drama, DT and language activities.
